5000 Fans!
Wooohooo!! I have just under 100 fans to go before I have 5000! In order to properly celebrate the momentous occasion of gathering 5000 fans on my FB page, I am giving away a free custom bow! The winner chooses the theme, size and style, and I go to work. I am so excited about having so many people interested in my bows, that I just want to give something back to my wonderful fans! All you need to do is post here what you love about The BowVine Bows. Just make sure to include your email in your post. If I can't contact you, you can't win! Share with your friends. I will be drawing the name of a winner when the FB page fan count meets 5000. Good luck!

Upcycling!
Okay, so we have a million magnets on our refrigerator. We get them when we go on vacations. The boys make them at school. We have "Fridge Phonics." Doesn't everybody? Anyway, these little babies serve a purpose. They hold lunch menus, art work, ball schedules, coupons, and appointment cards. Our refrigerator is a bulletin board! Harrison, my 5 year old, is especially enamored with the magnets. He likes to make "words" with the plastic letters. He likes to hang his pictures up there, too. His favorite magnets are most definitely the ones we get from Disney World. He likes to put them on his toy plates and pass them out as cookies. So it was a sad day when he went to put Minnie Mouse back up next to her boyfriend, Mickey, and she just fell off face first into the rug. "Hey MOMMY!! The magnets quit sticking!!" This is what I heard from the kitchen. Upon serious investigation by Mommy and Hayden, the scientific 8 year old, it was determined that the magnet had fallen off the back and was nowhere to be found. Harrison shook his little head and said, "Now it's no good." But Hayden, had a wonderful idea. "We can use it for something else." Harrison's big brown eyes lit up. "You can use it on one of your bows, Mommy!" Of course! Upcycling at its best. So I have made a super adorable, completely one of a kind Minnie Mouse hair bow. It is made with some awesome ribbon ordered from my sweet friend Jena, and a repurposed magnet purchased on a vacation past from Disney World itself. Which is most definitely our Happiest Place on Earth. I hope you like it! You can find it on Ebay right now :)

Like I said... I love to craft :)
Okay so, I love to craft and create. As if bows aren't enough, lol, I have come across something else that I love a whole bunch, too! Waldorf-Inspired dolls! These little cuties are handmade with all natural materials. The outer fabric used for the doll's skin is 100% cotton. They are very tightly stuffed with pure wool stuffing. The hair is merino wool that has been handspun and hand dyed with natural dyes. After obsessively looking at other people's creations for a month, I decided I would try my hand a making one of my very own! I wanted a funky little Diva, so I shopped around for the perfect rainbow colored yarn for her hair. No, I did not dye it myself! I am totally not that crafty, yet! Here is my little creation. I have not named her either, so offer suggestions! I hand embroidered her face and blushed her little cheeks myself. I didn't make her clothes, but I bought them from some extremely talented ladies on Etsy. So everything you see here is completely handmade :) I have a niece coming into the world in just a couple of weeks. I am planning on making her a very special friend who will last a lifetime :)

Best Offer Game on 1/27 at 9:00 pm Central Time Zone
I am hoping for a fun time and a big turnout for my first ever Best Offer Game over on Facebook. I have 12 bows, all made in my deluxe 4 layer style with my handmade clay centerpieces and plush embellisments up for grabs. These are all ready to go, awaiting clip preference. How the game works is like this: I will upload the album. You can submit your best offer for each item you are interested in. I will only take offers for ONE hour. You can come in with a heavy offer right at the beginning to scare off others, or you can hang back and come in like a sniper with your best offer right at the end. Your strategy is completely up to you! The only catch? You can only submit ONE offer per bow. You must have a paypal account to play, since that is the only method of payment I accept. For every offer you make, I will post an extra entry of your name into the drawing for the Giveaway bows!

These would be perfect for any outfit, and could really dress up a little black tee. They feature my own handmade grosgrain ribbon flowers in the center. I haven't made these in a while, but I LOVE them! The winner will have the opportunity to customize these bows to their own clip choice.
